That is the "passenger airbag off" light that comes on if the car thinks a child is in the front seat. It stayed on all through college since that's where I put my backpack and my textbooks.

There's red vinyl on the dash. It matches the color of the car. My phone camera doesn't pick up the color well. I installed it about four or five years ago. Pretty much everyone hates it but I like it, so it has stayed.
